To go or...

I wish I can go with him but I'm stuck here doing my Master. Sometimes I thought of stopping my Master and go with him... but my future is my own. I should finish what I have started and then only think of another step. If he got the PHD scholarship, I still need to wait for 5 months to get the visa to go there. I'll follow him after I finish my Master. Will be so far away from my family and friends next year. I leave everything to God

Biaramas

Heard from my brother that we can buy cheaper bus tickets online. Biaramas! (visit its website http://202.9.99.148/). I registered my dad's name online and anxiously went to Biaramas ticketing counter tonight to reload RM88 into his account. When I reached there, I didn't check and listen properly to the staffs when being prompted about the user id. She kept saying, "Ambrose?". I said ya. Who knows that she entered the amount of RM88 into another person with the name of Ambrose Wong account even though I already passed my dad's IC to her. I only realised the error when I reached home and checked the account online. Haiz. My fault also because I didn't check the name on the receipt. I faster called the ticketing counter to inform them of the mistake. She said can't help and gave me the big boss' hp number. I called the big boss and explained that I'm the first time user so I didn't know this and that. Luckily still can transfer the amount back into my dad's account in the end. Praise The Lord!

China trip

Just came back from my China trip. This trip is just so-so for me. Not so much fun for me. Initially I want to buy a lot of dresses from there but found none. I bought some cute stuffs home. Anyway, I enjoy every single moments with my fiance and his family. Going to share some nice pictures taken there when I am free! :)

Teacher

People tend to assume that teacher's job is easy and highly paid. Somemore, teacher has so many holidays. I used to be one of them. Try to teach and give your judgment after that. Being teachers nowadays is more challenging than last time, you have to learn to control the class first before you can even teach a sentence. The students are really spoilt by the education system and I wonder how the so-called leaders can lead the nation one day.

The teaching profession is worsening the teacher's health, adding the mental stress, creating nightmares... no wonder some of the teachers faster opt to retire early.

The following excerpt is taken from the Borneo Post dated 5th July, 2008

More teachers suffering critical illness

KUALA LUMPUR: The increasing workload and work-related stress among teachers have taken a toll on the once ‘noble profession’, with more teachers facing the risk of incurring critical health problems.

In sounding the alarm yesterday, National Union of Teaching Profes-sion (NUTP) secretary-general Lok Yim Pheng said more teachers were now suffering stress and ran a high risk of getting cancer, heart attacks and high blood pressure.

She said the worrying trend was reflected in the insurance claims made by the teachers, especially in the past five years.

“It’s a occupational hazard for the teachers. We have made a random survey and there was a reported increase in the critical illness and it’s worrying,” she told a news conference here yesterday.

She said that from January to June this year alone, 38 critical illness cases were reported involving a total claim paid of about RM2.1 million.

The NUTP record showed that in 2004, there were 79 cases of critical cases reported, 2005 (100 cases), 2006 (106 cases) and 2007 (125).

How nice if the education system is carried online... just joking about that. Haha

A city in Sarawak

There's a city that I don't really like staying. It's full of impostors. Its residents are trying real hard to show off what they have... young boys care a lot about their hairstyles and must have a girlfriend beside them while the girls are just like dolls with makeup and easily follow a guy as long as he has $$$. The middle-aged ones like to brat about their children who live and study in overseas. Come on... studying and living in overseas doesn't mean that they will become a better person. As for the attitudes of the people here... indescribable... Pity them. Where are those moral values and their civic-minded gone to? Rubbish bins? Drains? Haha. Anyway, maybe that's the way they live their lives and they are happy with it.

Thank God

Alas, I managed to change my flight ticket. Initially, it's Airasia fault for changing the time of flying from Kuching -> Sibu to 10.30am (supposedly to be 6.30pm). Hey, I'm still in another flight from KL-> Kch at that time. Still up in the aeroplane. Haha. Anyway, the ticket problem is solved today! Very happy! Eager to have my holidays starting this weekend :) Praise The LORD for everything!
