Teacher

People tend to assume that teacher's job is easy and highly paid. Somemore, teacher has so many holidays. I used to be one of them. Try to teach and give your judgment after that. Being teachers nowadays is more challenging than last time, you have to learn to control the class first before you can even teach a sentence. The students are really spoilt by the education system and I wonder how the so-called leaders can lead the nation one day.

The teaching profession is worsening the teacher's health, adding the mental stress, creating nightmares... no wonder some of the teachers faster opt to retire early.

The following excerpt is taken from the Borneo Post dated 5th July, 2008

More teachers suffering critical illness

KUALA LUMPUR: The increasing workload and work-related stress among teachers have taken a toll on the once ‘noble profession’, with more teachers facing the risk of incurring critical health problems.

In sounding the alarm yesterday, National Union of Teaching Profes-sion (NUTP) secretary-general Lok Yim Pheng said more teachers were now suffering stress and ran a high risk of getting cancer, heart attacks and high blood pressure.

She said the worrying trend was reflected in the insurance claims made by the teachers, especially in the past five years.

“It’s a occupational hazard for the teachers. We have made a random survey and there was a reported increase in the critical illness and it’s worrying,” she told a news conference here yesterday.

She said that from January to June this year alone, 38 critical illness cases were reported involving a total claim paid of about RM2.1 million.

The NUTP record showed that in 2004, there were 79 cases of critical cases reported, 2005 (100 cases), 2006 (106 cases) and 2007 (125).

How nice if the education system is carried online... just joking about that. Haha

A city in Sarawak

There's a city that I don't really like staying. It's full of impostors. Its residents are trying real hard to show off what they have... young boys care a lot about their hairstyles and must have a girlfriend beside them while the girls are just like dolls with makeup and easily follow a guy as long as he has $$$. The middle-aged ones like to brat about their children who live and study in overseas. Come on... studying and living in overseas doesn't mean that they will become a better person. As for the attitudes of the people here... indescribable... Pity them. Where are those moral values and their civic-minded gone to? Rubbish bins? Drains? Haha. Anyway, maybe that's the way they live their lives and they are happy with it.

Thank God

Alas, I managed to change my flight ticket. Initially, it's Airasia fault for changing the time of flying from Kuching -> Sibu to 10.30am (supposedly to be 6.30pm). Hey, I'm still in another flight from KL-> Kch at that time. Still up in the aeroplane. Haha. Anyway, the ticket problem is solved today! Very happy! Eager to have my holidays starting this weekend :) Praise The LORD for everything!

Together we live our lives to the fullest!

I LOVE!

The most important thing that we need to know first is to learn to love ourselves before we start loving others. Remember that God always love us!

Living skills

It's also known as 'Kemahiran Hidup' in school. I have a great interest in this subject especially the stitching chapter. Maybe I'm the typical girl who likes to stitch and cook. Haha. I even intended to apply for this course for university but stopped by mum. She said it's difficult to teach to the students especially to the brats these days. Haha. Now I'm given chance by God to tutor a girl (my aunt's friend) for her PMR. It's a blessing to help her with my rusty knowledge.
