Holidays

Have been searching for a friend to replace me for 2 weeks in October since last month (I'm going off for a long holiday with my fiance and his family to China and to attend a wedding ceremony there as well). Thank God that my friend recommend a friend of hers to me. At first I thought it's a she but when I meet the person, it turns out to be a he. Haha. I brought him to meet my principal and she is impressed and likes him. Good for us then. She told me to enjoy my trip and be careful with my food intake in China; avoid anything containing melamine. Thank God and I'm looking forward to my HOLIDAYS!!

Jogerthon

My school is organising a jogerthon today. I was given a duty to direct traffic at a site and ensure the safety of the students running past that area. Luckily a lot of students are willing to help me around. The jogerthon started around 6.40am and everyone finish running past my area around 6.50am. Then we'll allowed to go back to the school to watch who's the winner. When I reached the school gate, a prefect stopped me and said, "Principal said students must wear the jogerthon t-shirt or school shirt if want to enter the school compound". I replied, "I'm a teacher". The two prefects (my students) standing far beside him laughed at him and said, "You don't know that she's a teacher?". "How I know, both of you didn't tell me," he replied. Haha. Maybe I look like a student and still qualified to become a student there :)

Test papers

Being students, we hate exams because this is the time we need to crack hard our head and revise to produce good results. For the kiasu ones, they will go for tuitions to inject all the knowledge they need to get the top position in the class. Those were the days that I have gone through before. Now, I'm given the power to control the history paper for form 1 and form four this year. Hehe... Mixed feelings...tired to prepare all those questions in a short time because I want to go off for holidays earlier. Lucky me that my principal allows me to take a short leave to attend a wedding in a faraway place. The results of the brats are in my hand... Haha

Form teacher

I have being a class monitor and prefect before... and now a form teacher. Being one is the toughest and demanding task in school. I think I need to be a principal next time if got the qualification to do so in order to complete my school board's experiences. Haha. My students even nicknamed me as "Mama" because I asked them why they got so many red marks in their report cards and required them to explain to me. :) So-called young mama in my form class and History teacher in other forms

History

Adapted from www.siongchin.com

I myself don't like the subject last time. Now, I'm given the chance to 'love' it and spread its 'awesome' knowledge to the students. History to me is a boring subject and I don't wish to be a boring teacher but... have to be one for the time being. Good to be one though. Easy to teach and the brats love me. Alleluia

Life as a temporary teacher

I'm teaching in one of the indisciplined schools. If not due to the high pay of teaching, I'll stop teaching there cos I'm facing brats everyday. Somemore my timetable is so packed. Sometimes I can't even eat or rest well before next lesson. Haha. Anyway, it's a blessing to be given a chance to teach and earn money at the same time. Waiting for good news to pursue my Master. May God bless the application.
